Warnings and cautions

• For enteral use only.
• Neocate Junior is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and must be used under medical supervision.
• Suitable as a sole source of nutrition from 1–10 years, or as a supplement from 1 year onwards.
• Not suitable for infants under 1 year of age.
• ACBS approved and prescribable for specific dietary conditions.
• Serum micronutrient levels, particularly phosphorus, should be routinely monitored when used as a primary or sole source of nutrition.
• Store in a cool, dry place (5–25°C), away from direct sunlight.
• Use within one month of opening and always replace the lid after use.

How to use

1. Follow the feeding plan prescribed by a clinician or dietitian, as requirements vary by age, weight, and medical condition.
2. One level scoop provides 7.3g of powder.
3. To prepare a standard feed (21.1% w/v, 1 kcal/ml), add one level scoop of powder (7.3g) to every 30ml of water.
4. Wash hands and clean the preparation area thoroughly.
5. Use clean equipment and the scoop provided in the tin.
6. Add the prescribed number of scoops to the measured water.
7. Shake or whisk until fully dissolved.
8. Refrigerate prepared feeds and consume within 24 hours.
9. Discard any unused formula left in the container after one hour of feeding.
10. Shake or stir immediately before serving.
11. Do not boil prepared formula or use a microwave to prepare or warm feeds.
